so the oldest man in the world, a japanese, has just celebrated his 115 birthday.. i was reading the other day that life expectancy in my country is around 78.2 today,.

that half the people born since 2000 are expected to see 100 years old, and that.

the first person that will live to 150 years old, is already alive.. so how long would you like to live?.

'Dinah Gets Into Trouble' - Does Story 20 Mean Rape = Fornication?

i was listening, albeit unwittingly, to a 'my book of bible stories' tape and this statement caught me by surprise.

it's found in story 20:.

"one day when dinah came to visit, shechem took dinah and forced her to lie down with him.

There's been a lot of molestation and rape in my cong and the victims have always been chastised (it's your fault), ridiculed, punished and told to shut up or face disciplinary action for slander/lying, all the while the perpetrator was made out to be the victim/hero.

Additionally horrific is that most R&F know what’s going on and look the other way, it’s just sick.

And all this courtesy of a "loving" borganization.

hi everyone, i would like to introduce myself and tell my story.

from the standpoint of being one of jehovahs witnesses, my whole family is deeply involved as i was the 5th generation of witness and any children that my brothers or sister have will be the sixth generation.

as some of my brothers and sisters are grandparents, i guess that makes their grandchildren a potential 7th generation.

i had a conversation on the phone today with two different elders today.

i dont want to post the topic that we discussed on here at this time.

they had a problem with something going on in my life and i said where is it written that this is a problem.

It sounds like these two had no scriptural grounds for contacting you and were just grasping at straws. I'd be careful though, depending on what you want your "status" to be, they're on a witch hunt and have you in their cross hares. Your initial action no longer matters, your reactions do though, how you react to their attack will seal your fate. You've got two choices, buy a gallon of chapstick for all the ass kissing or get a suitcase and start packing because either your going to leave or their going to kick you out.

How many have gotten interested in Human Services, Charity, Social Justice, Social Work and the like after awakening to Watchtower aberrance?

whilst under watchtower influence i had little interest or awareness in these areas.. now they have become a passion.. i wonder if it has something to do with the "cult identity or self" versus the "authentic identity or self" as outlined by steven hassan in the "interacting with dual identities" chapter of his book "releasing the bonds - empowering people to think for themselves".. who has had a similar experience and/or change of career related to unplugging from the watchtower?.

or a story to tell?.

I'm still "in" (but planning an escape) and already give/donate, money, food, clothing and items from my store, to as many non-wash-towel charities as possible; I don't care if they are backed by a church or not, if they are doing a real good then I'm in.

Something else I do is NEVER give even one cent to those greedy bastards at the WTBT$, they don't help anyone.
